Getting To Better Know Our Awesome Dental Assistant, Wendy

SOMETIMES, WE’RE  GUILTY OF ASSUMING TOO MUCH, RIGHT? We recently realized that we’ve probably wrongly assumed that ALL of you—our valued patients—know Wendy as well as we do! That’s probably not the case.

So, we asked Wendy a few questions to help you get to know her a little better. Those questions are found below—along with her answers! Enjoy!

Where are you originally from?

“I was born in Fresno, CA but I moved a lot! My dad’s job took us to Oregon, Colorado, Michigan and then brought us back to Fresno.”

What made you decide that you wanted to become a dental assistant?

“I wanted to help out the community and help people feel better about their smiles!”

When you started as a dental assistant was there something funny that happened? Do you dare tell us that story?

“When I was in dental assisting school we were learning about Orthodontics; our teacher asked us to practice placing “separators” in between the teeth with floss strung thru. Instead of doing one throughout the mouth, I placed 26 pieces between each tooth! Embarrassing!”

What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not at work?

“I enjoy working with my hands so I love to make things! Wreaths, plywood signs, decorating vases, you name it!”

What do you enjoy most about being a dental assistant?

“I enjoy making patients feel comfortable in the chair and making sure each patient has a great experience at Willow Dental Group!”

Married? Children?

“I was married September 2012! No kids but maybe later.”

We hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know Wendy a little better. Here at our practice we feel really fortunate to have her as a member of our awesome team.
