RDH – Registered Dental Hygienist –  Manager/Lead  [Full-time]

Immediately offering long-term employment to an outstanding Registered Dental Hygienist with a minimum of 5 years experience and willing and able to manage our hygiene team. If you’re dependable, professional, have excellent communication and technical skills, honest, committed to exceeding daily production goals, leading by example, possess a positive attitude & are a team-player, then this is the right dental office for you. Responsibilities:

  • Customary chair-side hygiene procedures; scaling and root planning, fluoride treatments, sealants, anesthesia deliver, and charting in Dentrix
  • Experience abiding by hygiene protocols & a desire to hold the hygiene team (of 6 RDH) accountable to same standards
  • Provide instruction to patients about their oral health
  • Experience and knowledge in recommending hygiene products and solutions for oral health concerns
  • Committed to exceeding daily production goals & holding hygiene team accountable to those goals
  • Able to lead by example-WDG vision & CORE VALUES, and encourage and equip the hygiene team as well

Qualifications:

  • Licensed in the state of CA required
  • 5 years minimum dental hygiene experience, plus leadership experience would be preferred
  • Experience in accordance with HIPAA
  • Professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients
  • Personal accountability, ethical, and high level of attention to detail required
  • Ability to multitask and make informed decisions accurately and quickly
  • Experience working in a high-volume dental office & delivering exceptional care
  • Strict adherence to sanitation requirements for tools and procedures
  • Positive attitude, humble, teachable
  • Ability to deliver optimal patient care while also meeting production goals, both individual and for the entire hygiene department
  • Associates and/or BA degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome customers to our dental office
  • Escort patients to and from treatment, and offer office tours while always ensuring optimal patient comfort
  • Proactively select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed consistently
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed and management of patient cases
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions to patients
  • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Skills

  • Minimum 1 year proven experience as dental assistant required
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
  • CEREC, ZOOM!, and Itero experience preferred
  • Dentrix experience preferred and basic computer skills required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal people skills
  • Attention to detail and able to reach monthly production goals
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • Competent in taking digital x-rays, patient photos & intra-oral images
  • High school diploma
  • Honest, professional and joyful attitude required
  • Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
