Willow Dental Group is home to three gentle, highly trained general dentists in Fresno, CA — Dr. Shawn E. Anderson (owner), Dr. Akashpreet Kaur and Dr. Ryan Hatmaker. Each provider treats every patient like family and is committed to continuing education and whole-patient care. Dr. Shawn E. Anderson, DDS

Strongly committed to continuing education in the newest and best techniques available to provide patients with state-of-the-art health care. Coursework from The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, Dr. Frank Spear and the Seattle Institute for Continuing Dental Education, Dr. Pascal Magne, Dr. John Kois, Dr. Pete Dawson, Dr. John Cranham, Kirk Behrendt of ACT Dental Practice Coaching, and many others.

Personal:

I am very happily married to my best friend, Tracey. Tracey has a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, in Industrial Relations-Human Resource Management and is also an alumna of California State University, Fresno. She is currently the Director of Operations, Marketing and Community Events for the Willow Dental Group. So, if you see her, please introduce yourself. She’d love to meet you.
We have four children. Our oldest, Annika, graduated from California State University, Fresno in 2021 with a BA in Liberal Studies and currently lives in Sacramento with her husband, Jacob who is in medical school at UC Davis. They are parents to our first grandson, Brooks, who was born on December 22, 2024! Our second child, Karsten graduated from CSU Fresno in 2024 with a BS in Biology. He completed the Special Warfare pipeline in Lackland, TX for the US Air Force in October of 2025 and has been selected for TACP! Mats, our third child, entered the US Navy in August, 2025 and is pursuing Special Warfare as an Airman. He wants to serve as a Rescue Swimmer. Ava, our baby girl is a game squad cheerleader and also on the varsity competitive cheer squad at Clovis North High School and will graduate in 2027. They keep us humbled and we feel certainly blessed by each of them!
In my free time, I enjoy swimming, snow skiing, water skiing, cooking, ice-climbing, traveling, serving in my church, mission work, and spending as much time as possible with my family.

Dr. Akashpreet Kaur, DDS

Doctor of Dental Surgery (California-accredited) · Bachelor of Dental Surgery, India (2019)

Dr. Akashpreet Kaur, DDS is a general dentist proudly serving the Fresno–Clovis community. She earned her first dental degree, a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, in India in 2019, then was accepted into an international dental program, Doctor of Dental Surgery in Mexico—accredited by California—giving her a truly global foundation in clinical care. With training across three countries, Dr. Aksh brings a broad perspective and a patient-first approach to every visit, focusing on gentle, personalized treatment that helps patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their smile.

A lifelong learner, she loves staying current with the latest dental techniques and technology, always looking for ways to bring better, more comfortable care to her patients.

Fluent in English, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu, with a little Spanish, she is especially proud to care for the diverse families of the Central Valley, many of whom share her own deep roots in the area.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Aksh has a deep appreciation for Sikh spirituality and Gurbani. She loves preparing traditional Indian dishes and baking cakes for family and friends, and also enjoys folk dance, listening to music, and art and craft.

General Dentist

Dr. Ryan Hatmaker, DDS

Doctor of Dental Surgery, UCSF (2024) · Evolutionary Biology, UC Davis

Dr. Hatmaker is a valley native, born and raised in Clovis and attended Buchanan High School. He continued his education obtaining a degree in Evolutionary Biology at UC Davis. He then went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at UCSF in 2024.

Dr. Hatmaker is passionate about comprehensive, patient-centered care. He believes in providing dental care in a way that makes patients feel at ease, heard, and does his best to ensure that their needs are being met. Dr. Hatmaker is a member of a local study club and is constantly learning to stay up to date with the latest research and dental techniques.

Outside of the office, Dr. Hatmaker is an avid outdoor enthusiast and can be found hiking in our local mountains or cycling on the backroads.
